The Heinrich Böll Foundation, affiliated with the German Green Party, awards approximately 1,500 scholarships annually to students and doctoral candidates from all nationalities who share the foundation's values of ecology, sustainability, democracy, and human rights. Named after the Nobel Prize-winning German writer, this is one of Germany's most prestigious political foundation scholarships. Available for Master's and PhD programs at any state or state-recognized university in Germany. The scholarship covers the standard study period with the option to apply for a one-semester renewal.
